SwiftLift

Share regular journeys around Guernsey with neighbours on your route.

What SwiftLift is

SwiftLift is a small noticeboard for the Bailiwick of Guernsey. If you make the same drive most weeks (the school run, the commute to St Peter Port, a weekly trip to St Sampson) you can drop your start and end on a map and meet other islanders going the same way at the same time. Nothing flashy. Just neighbours sharing a car.

The whole thing is free. No paid lifts, no taxi licence required, no money ever changes hands. Read more on the Terms page when you sign in.

How it works

  1. Drop two pins. Tap your Start and End on the Guernsey map, pick the days you do that journey, and the time you usually leave.
  2. See your matches. SwiftLift highlights people whose journeys overlap with yours within a radius and time window you control.
  3. Send a request, chat in the app. If a match looks right, send a short note. The other side accepts and the two of you message each other inside SwiftLift to sort the details.

What's inside

Map of Guernsey only

The pin drop area is locked to the island. Sark, Herm and Alderney are visible for context but the matches are local.

Driver or passenger, your call

Mark each journey as offering or requesting. Spare seats, vehicle preferences, away mode, all there.

Private by default

Your email is never shown to other users. Talk in the app, share more if and when you choose.

Works offline as an app

Add SwiftLift to your home screen on iPhone or Android and it opens like any other app.

Who it's for

Anyone in Guernsey who would rather drive less. Commuters in and out of St Peter Port. Parents on the school run between the parishes. Anyone regularly heading to the Cobo or Vazon side, the Forest, the airport, the harbour. If you make the same trip more than once a week, SwiftLift was built for you.
